Bengal Cats were created by crossing an Asian Leopard Cat (Felis Bengalensis) with a domestic cat.  The first generation of this crossing is known as an F1, the second an F2, the third an F3 and the fourth and later generations are known as SBT Bengals.  Bengals are a registered breed of domestic cats.  SBT Bengals still have the beauty and high intelligence of the exotic ALC but are safe, reliable and make excellent family pets.

      Meadowbrook Farms' Bengals are very loving and dedicated.  They tend to be vocal and have tons of personality.  We have found that they are athletic and fun to watch and play with.  We have even learned that our bengals will do  "tricks for treats".  In addition, they can be trained to walk on a leash.  Our kittens are raised in our home and exposed to everyday life.  They are comfortable with other cats, dogs, and various household pets.  Our older bengals often go out to the barn to visit our farm animals.  We are teaching them to ride our horses.  Although our bengals are very affectionate and loving, they make sure there is never a dull moment at our farm!
